Your rhinoplasty will usually be performed under general anesthesia by our board certified anesthesiologists in our private licensed surgical center. The entire surgical procedure typically lasts is less than two hours. Depending on the amount of cartilage manipulation you need, Dr. Kole may make an incision across the bottom of your nose between the narrowest area between your nostrils (the open technique), or on the inner portions of the nostrils (the closed technique). Kole Plastic Surgery will then remove, trim, manipulate, suture and rearrange the cartilage framework, and in some cases break and reposition the bony skeleton to reshape the nose to its desired shape. Afterwards, Dr. Kole closes the incisions and an external nasal split is also applied.
